Cushman Motor Works manufactures small industrial engines and was founded by Everette and Clinton Cushman in 1922.

-It was acquired by OMC (Outboard Marine Corp) in 1957 and ended up in the Textron group in 1998.

-They made engines for scooters and tricycles.

-The Truckster engine has been adapted for its aeronautical use.

-The horizontally-opposed, two-cylinder engine that gave 8 hp at 3,600 rpm was manufactured from 1966 to 1977 and was used on the SNS ULM biplanes.

-The other aviation engine was similar but gave 22 hp.
