Cleone Motors was based in St. Louis, Missouri. They built two-stroke engines with designs from 1930, (see Cyclomotor).
-It is mentioned that there is a possible relationship between Cleone and Cyclomotor by the similarity of the engine dimensions.
-First it was an engine for a glider (it became a motor glider). It gave 8 to 15 hp according to the rpm. And it had two horizontally opposed cylinders.
-The D-25, with 25 HP at 2,600 rpm displaced 79.4 cu. in. and weighing 47 pounds without propeller. It seems to be the one in the figure.
-The E-30, giving 25 hp at 3,000 rpm was a derivative of the previous one, the same as the EG-30 that gave 30 hp at 3,600 rpm. It had a mechanical reduction of 0.5.
"Cleone 25 hp"
-The 25 hp engine of the illustration was fitted on Cleone's own "Paroquet" shown in the picture above the engine.
-The Cessna EC-1, the "Baby Cessna" used it. Later Cessna became the world's largest manufacturer of light aircraft.
-Cleone Motors in Missouri made the horizontally-opposed, two-cylinder, two-stroke D-25 engine.
--The picture below shows it better than the photo inside the main text.

-We are still looking for E-30 and EG-30 details.
