The "Anciens Etablissements Caffort Frères" company presented a large horizontally opposed 12-cylinder engine at the 1926 Paris Air Show.

-During the Great War from 1914 to 1918, apart of car parts, they also manufactured aircraft engines under license and acquired a good experience therein.

-The Caffort 12AA model was built under license from designer Bertrand-Solanet.

-It had four valves per cylinder (in the illustration we see two exhaust pipes per cylinder).
