Börsig Solid fuel rocket engines were used for assisted takeoff, and were mounted on the Me-262 aircraft. These engines gave 1000 lbs. of thrust and were installed under the belly of the fuselage.

-On the He-162B "Salamander" these engines were used to provide assistance at takeoff and reach the required speed (150 mph) when the plane was tested with Argus-Rohr pulsejets.
-These rockets were also installed under the belly and could be dropped once exhausted.
