-From 1989, they were destined for the "Space Shuttle" as main engine and in a cluster together with two others. The individual thrust is 512,300 lbf in vacuum and 408,750 lbf at sea level.

-It uses LOX and LH2, ie, oxygen and liquid hydrogen in the ratio of 6 to 1. The engine assembly weighs about 6,990 lb.
