From Appendix 11: The Blazer brothers were two engineers who worked for "Studebaker" in South-Bend, Indiana, and had designed an axial motor. Karl Herrmann was then the chief engineer in the same company, and in 1916 the Blazers sold their patent to Karl Herrmann, who continued to develop the concept.
