In 1899, Adolphe Clément-Bayard started to build automobiles in partnership with Gladiator, a manufacturer of tricycles and quadricycles, using engines from De Dion, Panhard-Levassor, etc.

-In 1922 it was absorbed by Citroën. It also built aviation engines.
