The Barker CE-2200 model that delivers 76 HP, is a modified Volkswagen “boxer” engine.

From appendix 6: Besides the naturally aspirated VW engine, Ted Baker had also presented another modified aviation Volkswagen engine with a turbocharger, in 1973.

-The turbocharger is a small Rajay, prolific in those years in general aviation.

-Like the Rajay supercharger installations in other aircraft, they did not stand out for having limiting land controls that went actuating according to the altitude to maintain approximately the same power, and up to the altitude level where it was designed for.

-Viewed from the rear, the engine shows its supercharger in a transversal position.

-On top, there are Slick magnetos for double ignition.

-We are not aware if the engine has been reinforced for this adaption,
