Pioneer aviator A.V. Roe used a 10 hp JAP motorcycle engine with his first trial in 1910.
-It has been aircraft construction company, essentially from the Avro 504R to the Avro Vulcan, which were imposing British bombers during the Cold War. (V series: Valiant, Victor and Vulcan).
-However other Avro engines are known like Avro "Alpha" 5-cylinder star engine that gave 75/90 hp and was installed on the Avro "Avian II" aircraft. This was in the year 1927.
-This engine was also used on thel Avro Gosport, on the Cierva Autogiro C.12 and on the C.17 MkII.

From appendix 6: In the main text it was mentioned that the aircraft manufacturer Avro made engines and that they were based on Douglas. Well, we have found an ad in a newspaper library wherein they offer the mentioned motor under the Avro brand.

From appendix 7: The horizontally opposed, two-cylinder was a two-stroke engine that gave 20 hp and was installed in the small Mayfly biplane, in 1910.
