The Allen Aircraft Engine Co. in Compton, California developed an eight-cylinder horizontally opposed engine between 1928 and 1929.

-It gave 200 hp at 2,000 rpm and it had dual ignition. It is not known if they obtained the Type Certificate nor if there were any applications.
