Appendix 10: Algol solid rockets are not a brand but a model. Belonging to a family that was first built by Aerojet, then acquired by Rocketdyne and today it belongs to Boeing/Rocketdyne.

-The Algol rocket engines have been the basis of other multistage rockets such as Scouts A, B, C X3 and X4, and other proposed projects attached to the Titans or Athenas.

-The Algol IIA was mounted in the Scout X-3.

-The Algol IIB in the Scout X-4.

-The Algol IIC in the Scout A1 and A2 as well as in the B1 and B2.

-The Algol III were made in collaboration with CSD (Chemical Systems Div, United Technologies Group) for the Scout D.

-In the Scout B, for example, they were used in the first stage, raising the complex system that consisted of the second stage, which was a Castor, the third, which was an Antares and the fourth, which was an Altair. (see drawing).
