He is credited with building the first Mexican aircraft engine around 1909.
-Juan Pablo Aldasoro was a Mexican military officer, directing air bases and regiments. But we are interested in his role as a builder of aircraft engines.
“J.P. Aldasoro”
-He designed and built the before mentioned engine in the "Two Stars" mine's garage in Michoacan.
From appendix 9: Mexico's first engine was built by Juan Pablo Aldasoro and his brother Eduardo in 1910. It was a boxer type two-cylinder horizontal opposed engine that gave 60 cv.
“Aldasoro 60 cv engine”
On the front of the engine block it has written in embossed casting "JAPL", perhaps the brothers' initials (?)
