After WWII many simple engines were built that were based on german engines, like the pulsejet of the V-1s.

-Another of these manufacturers was the Aeromarine Co. from Ohio, that built the D5-1 engine running on gasoline. There was a curious application of mounting this kind of engine on a lightweight motorcycle.
