A division of Aerojet-General. They did projects and tests like "Air Turbo ramjets" or propulsion systems with atmospheric air intake, which was interesting for future "trans-atmospheric space and hypersonic air transport" as they were known at first. Today the "Scram-Jets" go down this road.

"ATR test"

-The first trial was made with an engine of 26 inches in diameter and only 3500 lbs of thrust. It is the one that is  shown on the bench.

-Later models would take vehicles at speeds of Mach 5 and at 100,000 feet. Other brands such as Rolls-Royce or the Russians are also working on this.
