-An Egyptian company denominated “Arab British Engine Company” that was founded in 1978 with 70% of Arab capital and 30% from Rolls Royce.

Initially it worked on a construction program for the 900 hp RR-GEM engines destined for the Egyptian Westland Lynx helicopters. They revised "Astazou 14" engines and engines like the Isotov for the Mi-8, abundant in the Middle East.
