Thielert Aircraft Engines GmbH has been marketing the 135 HP Centurion 1.7 engine for some time now. This is a conversion of the Mercedes engine. (See TAE also).

-It runs on Diesel oil and uses Jet-A1 turbine kerosene as fuel, which is a future alternative to replace AVGAS 100LL due to its lead content.
-The Centurion 2.0 model is a development of the previous one with 99 Kw. of power.

-The Centurion 2.0 is already a good option for installation in most single-engine general aviation aircraft such as the Cessna 172 and Piper Cherokee, since the 1.7 model, with its 135 HP, was somewhat short.
-To replace other more powerful gasoline engines such as the Continental IO-520, there is also the Thielert Centurion 4.0 with 310 hp, suitable for the Cessna 206 -already approved- and even for the twin-engine Cessna 300 and 400 series.

-The 4.0 is a Diesel V8. By consuming less fuel than gasoline engines, the same aircraft, with their current tanks, have a greater range.
From Appendix 9: Presented as 125-02-99, the 1.7 gives 99 kW and has a displacement of 1991 cm3.

-The Thielert 125-02-114 that gives 114 kW is the 2.0.

-The Thielert brand offered us the inline Diesel engine and the V. Now we have a Wankel type, Diesel too.
-All of them to run on diesel but mainly with Jet-A1.
