TURBINEN SCHUBERTH SCHWABHAUSEN GmbH engine specifications

A small turbine from this company was shown installed on at least two powered gliders at the EAA's recent AirVenture 2009 in Oshkosh.

These two aerodynes were the Slovakian Shark Jet 304S and the Italian Targa Silent 2.

The engine is called the TBS-J40, with 400 Newtons of thrust reaching 420 at 105%. It is equipped with FADEC.

The engine is extremely lightweight, weighing only 4 kg, and is very simple to operate and handle thanks to its electronic control.
