The engine was converted by Gary Watson of Newcastle, Texas. It was a half-VW engine, from the 1600 to 2100 cc models.

“Watson 1/2 VW”

-Displacing 917 cc, it produced 30 HP at 4,500 rpm and was manufactured between 1978 and 1986.

-The one displayed in Oshkosh had a four-bladed propeller.
